Celebrating Latinx Youth with Rare Beauty (Award Winner!)
For Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month 2022, Rare Beauty looked to build a social media campaign that celebrated the diversity of thei Latinx community.
The campaign spoke to younger people navigating the evolving cultural climate of the United States. Rollout generated widespread excitement and millions of impressions, inspiring trends across Instagram, TikTok, and Reddit.

The project began with collaborative discussions between Rare Beauty and Word Creative. Together, we then mapped out the campaign’s vision — ensuring that every aspect, from storytelling to visual elements, authentically represented the Latinx community.
As part of our role, we took charge of storyboarding and visual storytelling direction so that every scene highlighted the campaign’s community-focused, Latinx-centric message.
After multiple rounds of revisions and the exploration of many different storytelling opportunities, the project gradually took shape. In the end this work culminated in a cohesive and impactful diversity and inclusion campaign
